FDC Class Description & Uniform Guideline

 

TOT Classes

 

Tot Combo:

Ages 3 & up (Must be 3 by September 2011)

 

Uniform: Pink Mirella Style #201 Leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes &

black tap shoes (slip on tap shoes preferred)

 

Description: This class meets 1 hour per week. 30 minutes of class time is devoted to ballet based creative movement & 30 minutes to tap. Students will participate in FDC’s annual pasta dinner performance in April and  a class demonstration at the studio in June.

Tap & Jazz Combo:

Ages 4 – 6 (Must be 4 by September 2011)

Uniform: Black Mirella Style #201 Leotard, black convertible tights, black leather slip on jazz shoes &

black tap shoes (slip on tap shoes preferred)

 

Description: This class meets 1 hour per week. 30 minutes of class time is devoted to jazz & 30 minutes to tap. Students will participate in the spring performance in June.

Ballet

 

Primary:

Ages 4 & up (Must be 4 by September 2011)

 

Uniform: Pink Mirella leotard Style #201, pink tights & pink leather ballet shoes

 

Description: This class meets 1 hour per week. Students will participate in end of the year spring performance in June.

Preparatory:

Ages 6 & up

 

Uniform: Light blue Mirella Style #201 leotard, pink tights & pink leather ballet shoes

 

Description: This class meets 2 hours per week. Students will participate in end of the year spring performance in June. They also have the opportunity to perform in FDC’s Holiday Spectacular in December.

 

Intermediate:

Ages 8 & up

 

Uniform: Royal blue Mirella style #201 leotard, pink tights & pink ballet shoes

 

Description: This class meets 2 hours per week. Students will participate in end of the year spring performance in June. They also have the opportunity to perform in FDC’s Holiday Spectacular in December.

 

Intermediate/Advanced:

Ages 12 & up

 

Uniform: Royal blue Mirella style #201 leotard, pink tights & pink ballet shoes

 

Description: This class meets 3 hours per week for ballet & 30 minutes per week for pointe / pre-pointe. Students will participate in end of the year spring performance in June. They have the opportunity to perform in FDC’s Holiday Spectacular in December. Students in this level will also be eligible for pointe on an invitation only basis.

 

Intensive (Invitation Only):

 

Uniform: White Mirella style #201 leotard, pink tights & pink leather ballet shoes

 

Description: This class meets 1 hour per week. Students who show a high level of interest and strength in ballet technique will be selected and taught by both Directors. Intensive students must also take their required level in addition to this class. Students will participate in end of the year spring performance in June.They also have the opportunity to perform in FDC’s Holiday Spectacular in December.

 

Youth Ensemble (Invitation Only)

 

Uniform: Navy Mirella style #201 leotard,White Mirella style # 201 leotard & white skirt (to be ordered from FDC), Bodywrappers seamed #A45  pink tights & pink ballet shoes. Boys wear black or white solid t-shirt, black or white M.Stevens footed tights and black or white ballet shoes.

 

Description: This class meets a minimum of 8 hours per week for ballet, pointe & rehearsals. Students who show a high level of interest and strength in ballet technique will be selected and invited into the ensemble by the Directors. Students will participate in end of the year spring performance in June as well as various performances throughout the season.

 

 

Jazz

 

Beginner: Ages 6 & up
Intermediate: Ages 9 & up
Intermediate/Advanced: Ages 12 & up
Advanced: Invitation Only

Uniform: Black Mirella style #201 leotard, Black convertible tights & black jazz pants & black slip on jazz shoes. Boys wear black or white solid t-shirt, black jazz pants, sweatpants or shorts & black slip on jazz shoes.

 

Description: Beginner, Intermediate & Intermediate Advanced meet 1 hour per week. Advanced jazz meets 1.5 hours per week. Students will participate in end of the year spring performance in June.

Tap

 

Beginner: Ages 5 & up
Intermediate: Ages 9 & up
Advanced: Invitation Only

Uniform: Black Mirella style #201 leotard, black convertible tights & black jazz pants & black slip on tap shoes. Boys wear black or white solid t-shirt, black jazz pants, sweatpants or shorts & black slip on tap shoes.

 

Description: All levels meet 1 hour per week. Students will participate in end of the year spring performance in June.

 

Modern

 

Beginner: Ages 7 & up
Intermediate: Ages 11 & up
Advanced: Invitation Only

Uniform: Black Mirella style #201 leotard & black convertible tights. Boys wear black or white solid t-shirt, black jazz pants or shorts.

 

Description: Beginner & Intermediate meet 1 hour per week. Advanced class meets 1.5 hours per week.  Students will participate in end of the year spring performance in June.

 

Hip – Hop

Hip Hop I    Ages 5-7
Hip Hop II   Ages 8 – 11
Hip Hop III  Ages 12 & up

Uniform: Sweats or active wear (non-revealing) & sneakers

 

Description: Class meets 1 hour per week. Students will perform in end of the year spring performance in June.

 

Musical Theatre

 

Musical Theatre: Ages 6 & up  

 

Uniform: Black Mirella style #201 leotard, black jazz pants  & black dance sneakers slip on jazz shoes. Boys wear black or white solid t-shirt, black sweatpants or shorts & black dance sneakers or jazz shoes.

 

Description: Class meets 1 hour per week. Students will perform in end of the year spring performance in June.

 

Acting

Ages 7-18

 

Description: Class meets 1.5 hours per week. Students will perform in FDC’s annual pasta dinner performance.
