A Florida native, Ms. Shanna received her training with Debbie Dee and Sandra Goodnough. She is also an alumni of the Dreyfoos School of the Arts where she was a dance major. Ms. Shanna graduated with a B.F.A. from the prestigious Alvin Ailey Fordham University program. She has been featured in many educational and instructional tap & jazz videos.

Upon graduation, she became a member of the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. She is currently the science teacher at Lantana Middle School. She is also an African dance company member with Hues Dance Company.

Ms. Shanna is mother to her two children, Jasmine and Elan. This is her first season at Florida Dance Conservatory.
